A great time was had by all at this years Memorial Day Parade. What an honor to be part of the parade in remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. We had several Lions and family members that came out to help support our club. Many thanks to Lion Dan Roesch and Larry Roesch Family Auto Group for the use of two VW Beetle convertibles, we even had a yellow one to go with our club colors. But by far the best car in the Parade, was Dan's 1970 Plymouth Super Bird, although Dan had to ask his son Dylan to borrower it for the day.

We had a huge turn out for the most anticipated Pub Sit of the year. We all enjoyed some great wine at Tannins new Wine Bar. What a great place to enjoy a glass of wine (or two) before your evening out, or come later for a fine glass of Port (one of my favorites) to end the night. If you have not been in to see the Wine Bar, be sure to check it out the next time you are downtown.

| Lion Jim Hallberg Pub Sit |
The Pub Sit was held on Friday February 16, at Seven Ten Lanes in downtown Elmhurst. As you can see, a good time was had by all. Thanks to Lion Jim and Also Lion Don for there generous donation (can buying a round be considered a donation?). We had some 1st timers there as well, Lion Jim's Granddaughter made her 1st Pub Sit, and boy did she have fun. And what is up with Brian Stolper, looks like he's up to no good.
Anyway, it was very good to see some many Lion's out for the evening, and we are looking forward to our next gathering in March.

We all had a great time, Thanks to Lion Josh and Missy for providing a great location and wonderful food and drink. All we needed was for "Good Rex" to show up.
Oh Well, there is always next year, and besides Spring Training is only 1 week away!!

Family Fun Fest October 2006
|
|
Family Fest at the Pumpkin Patch is always a big hit with the Community, and is a great time for children and adults. This past year our Lions club sponsored the Mobile Hearing Screening unit, that provided free hearing tests to the community. In addition, we had a Moon Jump (provided by A Moon Jump 4You), Face Painting, Pumpkin Buckets, and a Carved Pumpkin Raffle. A good time was had by all.
